distinguish 中文意思為「區分、辨別」，唸作 /dɪˈstɪŋ.ɡwɪʃ/[1]，可以用作及物動詞，後面直接加上受詞，來看例句：

You can distinguish the twins by their hair colors.你可以用頭髮顏色來區分這對雙胞胎。

The man is good at distinguishing the sounds of different frogs.那個男人很擅長區分不同青蛙的叫聲。

These two kinds of coffee beans are hard to distinguish.這兩款咖啡豆很難區分。

再來看看以下兩組常見的搭配用法：

這組用法的意思是「區分 A 與 B 的不同」，和 tell the difference between A and B 意思相同，但用起來會顯得比較正式，記得 A 和 B 在性質和詞性上要是對等的唷，例如：
