Most of the longest rivers on each of the seven continents are pretty easy to guess. Africas is the Nile, of course; South Americas is the Amazon[1]. The Mississippi-Missouri and Chinas Yangtze are also pretty famous—but big ups if you knew that the Volga[2] was the longest river in Europe or that the "Murray-Darling" is not a 1940s radio sitcom, but the longest river in Australia. You might be inclined to think that Antarctica, a frozen continent, has no rivers at all, by definition. But thats only true part of the year.

Antarctica[3] is, of course, the coldest continent, but its not always an icy wilderness. At the South Pole, temperatures have never been recorded higher than 10ºF, but the coast is much balmier.
